Several major streaming series are adding to their casts ahead of new seasons going into production.

First up, Oscar winner Allison Janney is returning to the White House – officially signing on for a guest-starring role as Vice President Grace Penn in the second season of Netflix’s “The Diplomat”. Keri Russell stars in the series as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Next, “Lucifer” star Tom Ellis is returning to TV with a regular role on the second season of Hulu’s “Tell Me Lies”. Ellis will play Oliver, a professor at Baird College who has a tough love approach and an intimidating presence.

Netflix’s Noah Centineo-led “The Recruit” has also been casting up as its second season has begun production in Vancouver and Seoul. James Purefoy, Brooke Smith, Devika Bhise, Felix Solis, Young-Ah Kim, Do Hyun Shin, Sanghee Lee, Omar Maskati and Alana Hawley Purvis are all joining the new season along with previously announced new series regular Teo Yoo.

Finally over on Starz, Malin Akerman (“Watchmen”) has scored the lead role in the new eight-episode drama “The Hunting Wives” based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb. The series follows an east coast family’s move to eastern Texas – obsession and murder ensure. Filming begins in North Carolina this spring.
