Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are teaming up for the crime thriller “Animals” which Affleck will direct and Damon will star in.
Affleck won’t have an on screen role in this project which was penned by Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray, and which Netflix will release.
The story will reportedly focus on a kidnapping, but plot details are under wraps. Affleck, Damon, Dani Bernfeld, Brad Weston and Collin Creighton are producing.
The Oscar-winning co-writers, who hadn’t really worked together on film for two decades, came together on 2021’s Ridley Scott film “The Last Duel” which they both had roles in and co-wrote with Nicole Holofcener.
They again teamed up on last year’s air which they both starred in and which Affleck directed.
Affleck is expected to reprise his lead role in “The Accountant” sequel later this year after he films this which is being fast tracked to shoot ASAP.
