Amazon Prime Video has officially announced “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” as the title for the new series that serves as a prequel to 2022’s Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch-led “The Terminal List”. Production will commence early this year.
Both Pratt and Kitsch will return for the new series which will explore more of the backstory between Pratt’s US Navy SEAL James Reece and Kitsch’s former teammate turned CIA paramilitary operator Ben Edwards.
“The Terminal List” series was renewed for a second season a year ago, with news of the spin-off released at the same time and clear indications they are separate projects.
The spin-off hails from author Jack Carr and creator-showrunner David DiGilio. Several characters created by Carr for the books are expected to pop up in the narrative – including South African former SEAL Raife Hastings, Mohammed Farooq, and the returning Ernest ‘Boozer’ Vickers.
Kitsch, Pratt, Carr, Antoine Fuqua and Max Adams are all executive producing the prequel. Specifics of when in the timeline events occur is unclear, but the prequel is expected to put much more of a focus on Kitsch with Pratt in a supporting role.
Pratt’s character will be the focus of the second season of the main show which is expected to begin production after ‘Dark Wolf’ has completed filmed and will likely be based on Carr’s book “True Believer”.
