The Kaley Cuoco-led dramedic thriller “The Flight Attendant” has officially been cancelled after two seasons by streaming service Max.

The first season debuted late 2020 to rave critical and audience reviews and nine Emmy nominations. Envisioned as a limited series, a second season renewal came as a surprise.

The second season premiered in April 2022 and wasn’t so well received. It was widely thought the show wouldn’t continue, the second season ending neatly without any real hanging story threads, but Max never made the cancellation official.

Now it’s definitely over with Cuoco releasing a statement saying:

“What started out as an attention-grabbing book cover quickly evolved into an extraordinary flight of a lifetime. I always envisioned TFA as a limited series and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons. Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life.”

This continues a spree of cancellations from Max in the past few weeks as “Our Flag Means Death,” “Rap S—” and “Julia” were also all cancelled recently.
