Filmmaker Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan look set to reunite once again for a currently untitled top secret genre film project which Coogler will write and direct says THR.

The pair first teamed on the 2013 indie drama “Fruitvale Station” which served as a breakout vehicle for Coogler and a leading man breakthrough role for Jordan.

They subsequently teamed on the “Rocky” spin-off “Creed” and the Marvel Studios sensation “Black Panther”. All three films received major criticial acclaim with the latter two also big box-office hits.

Jordan will star in the film which marks Coogler first spec script since ‘Fruitvale’ and is based on an original idea of his. Coogler will also produce with Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.

Coogler will meet with interested parties this week to lay out his vision, and a production commitment will be asked. Specifics of the plot are under wraps, but it is said to have a period element.

Coogler most recently directed “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” whilst Jordan is coming off directing and starring in a third “Creed” with a fourth on the way.
