By A third “Maleficent” film appears to be in the works at Disney according to a new report over at The Wall Street Journal.
The news is part of a profile piece on Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie who appears to hint at a potential retirement from the acting world in the future.
In the interview, she says due to her lengthy divorce from Brad Pitt she “lost the ability to live and travel as freely” and is considering leaving Los Angeles to move to her home in Cambodia when she can.
The actress fell in love with the country whilst filming “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” back in 2000. She also says she “wouldn’t be an actress today” and when she was starting out there wasn’t an expectation to “share so much”.
The article says Jolie has five projects in the works with “Maleficent 3” being one. The other four are “Kung Fu Panda 4” due in March, Pablo Larrain’s currently filming Maria Callas biopic “Maria,” the Halle Berry co-starring spy film “Maude v Maude” and the pianist with ALS drama “Every Note Played”.
Jolie was last seen on screen in 2021’s Marvel film “Eternals” and Taylor Sheridan’s “Those Who Wish Me Dead”.
