Paramount+ has announced an April 2024 release window for the fifth and final season of “Star Trek: Discovery”.
The announcement was made as a part of CCXP in Sao Paulo, Brazil where series star Sonequa Martin-Green and co-showrunner Michelle Paradise appeared on stage.
The pair also showed off footage from the new season with a clip released online and available below. The clip sees Burnham and Book come face to face with a dangerous creature that unexpectedly possesses the ability to cloak.
Martin-Green returns as Captain Michael Burnham alongside Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Blu del Barrio as Adira Tal, David Ajala as Clevland “Book” Booker, and David Cronenberg as Dr. Kovich.
Joining them will be Callum Keith Rennie as Captain Raynor, whilst Eve Harlow is Moll and Elias Toufexis is L’ak.
Next year will also see the second season of “Star Trek: Prodigy” coming to Netflix, whilst a fifth season of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” and a third season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” are in production.
