Bradley Cooper says he’s open to reprising his role as Phil in a fourth “The Hangover” film at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Appearing on a recent episode of The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast (via Variety) to promote his upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic “Maestro,” Cooper’s discussion focused primarily on his directorial efforts.
Host David Remnick then asked Cooper if his pivot to more dramatic roles in recent years means is he “done with fun?” and if a “kinda fun comic role came along” would he do it?
Remnick then cites this theoretical offer being for a project that’s “not ‘Hangover ‘5 but something of a similar spirit” to which Cooper responded:
“Well, I would do ‘Hangover 5’. It would be ‘Hangover 4’ first, but yeah. I would probably do ‘Hangover 4’ in an instant. Just because I love Todd [Phillips], I love Zach [Galifianakis], I love Ed [Helms] so much, I probably would.”
Then asked if a fourth “The Hangover” could happen, Coope said: “I don’t think Todd’s ever going to do that”. Cooper, Galifianakis, Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong starred in the three films which ran from 2009-2013.
