Ryan Phillippe, Michael Cimino (“Love, Victor”), Nathalie Kelley (The Baker and the Beauty) and Melissa Collazo (One Of Us Is Lying) have been set as series regulars in the coming-of-age ensemble drama “Motorheads” at Amazon Prime Video.
Set in the dying rust-belt town of Ironwood, Pennsylvania which is searching for a glimmer of hope, the series follows a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of automobiles.
Phillippe will portray a former NASCAR mechanic turned struggling auto body shop owner who lives in the shadow of his infamous brother Christian Maddox. Kelley is an NYC ER nurse who just moved back to her hometown with her kids.
Cimino stars as Zac, son of a street racing legend desperate to live up to his father’s reputation. Collazo is his sister and a mechanical wiz seeking clues about the disappearance of their father.
The project hails from writer/showrunner John A. Norris (“All American”) and executive producers Jason Seagraves, Jake Fuller, Dana Brunetti, and Keegan Rosenberger.
Ruben Fleischer (“Uncharted,” “Zombieland”) is attached to direct the pilot and Ryan Zaragoza will serve as co-executive producer.
