The second season of Marvel Studios’ “Loki” wrapped up last week and plenty of people are still talking about it. It closed out a fourteen-year character arc, narratively ended the series, and delivered arguably one of the best things Marvel has done post-Endgame.

The audience was with it all the way too, according to Disney’s own viewership numbers. According to Deadline, the studio says the finale drew in 11.2 million global views over its first three days – up 3% on the season premiere (10.9 million).

Every episode of the second season has reportedly racked up over 11 million views during their premiere weeks, making it the second most-watched season premiere and season finale of the year on the Disney+ service behind only “The Mandalorian” third season in both cases.


The finale paves the way for the MCU’s Multiverse Saga but also raises the question as to whether Hiddleston will return to the role at some future point.

In a new interview with, the actor says even he would stop short of saying he will never be back: “I have at least twice in my life said goodbye… So I think I’d be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it”.

The success of “Loki” on TV comes as the MCU had its lowest opening ever at the box office with “The Marvels” which ended up with $46.1 million domestically and just over $109 million worldwide.
