The recent Soulsborne-genre title “Lies of P” is officially set to get a sequel from developers Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio.

Effectively a twisted take on Pinocchio, “Lies of P” the character travels on foot through the city of Krat which has a Belle Epoque-style visual sensibility.

You explore the environment and fight various biomechanical enemies with swords, axes and a mechanical arm that can be turned into a grappling hook or flame thrower among other things.

The game also boasts a ‘Lying System’, where the decisions the player makes during certain passages affect the course of events. The title scored good critical reviews with an 80/100 on Metacritic.

Released September 19th, within a few weeks the title has sold one million units. Now, game director Ji Won Choi has released a short presentation on YouTube about the future of the game with a discussion of patches, DLC and confirmation of the sequel.

Sadly no specific details about when to expect any of this were released. The DLC for the first game is still in the early stages thus a sequel game is still likely some time off as the first game was in development for three years before release.
