Paramount+ has premiered the full-length trailer for “Good Burger 2,” the sequel to the original 1997 comedy feature with Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprising their roles in this follow-up.
The original film was based on a recurring sketch within the Nickelodeon comedy series “All That” and follows a slacker high school student who takes a summer job flipping burgers in order to pay for damages he caused to his teacher’s car.
The film managed to gross $23.7 million off an $8.5 million budget and scored a cult following in the years since despite poor critical reviews.
The sequel will see Dexter Reed (Thompson) down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed (Mitchell) welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back.
With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but, unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.
Lil Rel Howery, Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, Alex R. Hibbert, Kamaia Fairburn, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler, Emily Hinkler, Anabel Graetz, and Carmen Electra co-star.
Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who co-wrote the original film, serve as writers and executive producers, whilst Phil Traill will direct.
“Good Burger 2” releases on Paramount+ on November 22nd.
