Sky TV has premiered the trailer for the eight-episode second season of its BAFTA-winning time-twisting espionage sci-fi series “The Lazarus Project” which returns on November 15th.
The first season saw an app developer named George (Paapa Essiedu) who discovers the Earth’s broken timeline. He joins a secret organization called The Lazarus Project where members work hard to save the world from total extinction by rewriting the past.
However, when an accident harms George’s girlfriend Sarah (Charly Clive), George breaks all protocols and betray the organization in order to save the love of his life. At the end of the first season, he and the world end up entangled in a vicious, never-ending time loop that will lead to the entire planet’s extinction.
The Lazarus team must race against time to find a solution before humanity is wiped out forever. Returnees include Tom Burke as Rebrov, Caroline Quentin as Wes, Brian Gleeson as Ross, Anjli Mohindra as Archie, Rudi Dharmalingam as Shiv, Alec Utgoff as Rudy and Vinette Robinson as Janet.
New cast members for the second season include Colin Salmon, Sam Troughton, Safia Oakley-Green, James Atherton, Royce Pierreson, Lorne MacFadyen and Zoe Telford. The series is created and written by Joe Barton.
