Definitely not your standard-issue biopic. This is a loud, wild, angry, passionate, rapturous, epic swirl of sound, color, emotion, and American history. I drank in every one of its 159 minutes.
Now I actually kinda get what Baz Luhrmann meant when he said it’s like the Apocalypse Now of biopics.
