Josh McDermitt, best known for his role as the eccentric Eugene Porter in AMC’s “The Walking Dead” series, has scored the co-leading role in NBC’s “Suits” spin-off “Suits: LA”.
Former “Arrow” star Stephen Amell leads the cast as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who joined forces fifteen years ago with his old friend, the energetic and self-absorbed Stuart Lane (McDermitt), to build the L.A. law firm Black Lane Law that specializes in criminal and entertainment law.
With the firm at a crisis point, Ted must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career in order to survive. He is surrounded by characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.
Aaron Korsh, who created the original series for the USA Network, is penning the pilot and executive-producing alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein and director Victoria Mahoney.
Filming kicks off in late March in Vancouver. It all follows the original series breaking streaming records on Netflix last summer, becoming the most-streamed program of 2023.
