“Top Gun: Maverick” actor Lewis Pullman has reportedly emerged as Marvel Studios’ top choice for a key role in the soon to film “Thunderbolts” movie.
Pullman, son of actor Bill Pullman, is said to have an offer for the role vacated by Steven Yeun earlier this month. That role has been widely believed to be the character of Sentry.
Yeun was attached since February last year but Marvel never officially announced his casting. Earlier this month however came the news he had to walk due to scheduling conflicts.
The exit was understandable as Yeun is in high demand and “Thunderbolts” was heavily delayed by the strikes.
Pullman most recently starred in Amazon’s “Outer Range” and Apple’s “Lessons in Chemistry” series.
Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus co-star in “Thunderbolts” which will soon film in Atlanta. Jake Schreier is directing the project.
