By Production is about to get underway on the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” in a few days and the team is already in Vancouver getting ready for the shoot.
The Zarak by Afghan Kitchen restaurant just posted a photo of three staff alongside actors Bella Ramsey (Ellie), Isabela Merced (Dina), Young Mazino (Jesse) together with showrunner Craig Mazin and producer Jacqueline Lesko who’d been dining there.
The three characters spend a lot of time together in the early scenes of “The Last of Us Part II” game which the second season is expected to partly adapt.
The three share an awkward relationship past history, but band together as allies as Ellie sets out on a traumatic journey which will take her and Dina to what’s left of Seattle.
Not included are co-stars Kaitlyn Dever who will play Abby, or returnees Pedro Pascal (Joel), Gabriel Luna (Tommy) and Rutina Wesley (Maria) – all of whom are expected on the set shortly with shooting to commence February 12th.
The new season is expected to go darker than the first and will be in production for much of the year ahead of a 2025 release.
