Carrie Coon (“The Leftovers,” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) is reportedly in talks to star in the third season of Mike Judge’s dark comedy HBO series “The White Lotus” according to The InSneider.
It is currently unknown at this point what character Coon might be playing. She marks only the second actor linked to the new season of the anthology series thus far.
The other is returnee Natasha Rothwell who is reprising her role as Belinda from the first season in the Thailand-set new run. The new season is tipped to explore ‘spirituality versus the ego’ in Eastern religion and spirituality as it follows people attending a Wellness Spa.
Creator Mike White has previously indicated this will be a ‘super-sized’ season that will be “longer, bigger, crazier”.
The first two seasons were shot at actual Four Seasons resorts in the places the story took place – Hawaii and Italy – with the same expected again here.
The second season of “The White Lotus” averaged 10.1 million viewers per episode in total, a 50% jump from the first season. The new season will film this year ahead of a 2025 release.
