Three More Set For “Harry Potter” Season 2

Three more key roles in the second season of HBO’s “Harry Potter” TV series have been cast.

International Emmy winner Billy Barratt (“Bring Her Back,” “Responsible Child”) has been cast as Tom Riddle, the younger version of the wizard who would become the story’s overall antagonist, Lord Voldemort.

British actor and presenter Lenny Rush (“A Woman of Substance”) will play the role of the house-elf Dobby, who belongs to Lucius Malfoy and who helps Harry out.

Finally, young Bonnie Hill (“The Six Triple Eight”) will take on the role of Ginny Weasley for season two, taking over the part after the original actress Gracie Cochrane had to step aside after shooting the first season.

The trio join the other recent second-season addition of Kit Harington as Gilderoy Lockhart. Several other key second season roles have yet to be cast, including the aforementioned Lucius Malfoy.

The casting news follows the newest trailer for the first season, titled “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” being released the other day ahead of the show’s premiere on the network on Christmas Day.
