There are car enthusiasts, and then there are people who apparently believe a perfectly good vehicle is merely a starting point. From questionable body kits and enormous spoilers to bizarre modifications that solve problems nobody had, these cars demonstrate what happens when creativity outruns good judgment.
The internet is full of automotive disasters, and many online communities have documented plenty of them. Some modifications are hilariously impractical, others are genuinely baffling, and a few make you wonder how anyone looked at the finished product and thought, “Yep, that’s exactly what I wanted.” Here are some of the most spectacular automotive crimes we’ve found.
Deadpool
It’s hard to grasp that this is the look the owner wanted. While we all like Deadpool, this just looks vandalized.
Shin-Chan
There’s nothing we can say about how people decide to make their cybertrucks look, since to each their own. But with that rainbow motif, we hope this person works on children’s parties or has kids of their own.
Strange Truck
It seems that this truck had some sort of issue, and this is what the owner came up with as a fix. Hopefully it is a temporary fix, since it looks atrocious.
Jeep Cosplay
It’s hard to know what that fix is all about, but for all accounts, this looks like a jeep cosplaying a trailer.
Busting Ghosts
If the tacky Ghostbuster sticker isn’t enough for you, the assortment of materials and miscellania on the roof makes us wonder if there isn’t an actual ectoplasmatic business going on.
Chevrolet Impaler
The spikes alone make this a hazard for everyone on the road, not to mention the exhaust pipes that make this vehicle unable to fit most tunnels.
Big Bumper
If you normally have trouble parking, avoid this car like the plague. The front bumper alone will make it a nightmare not to collide with the car in front.
Chevy Blaze Air
This looks like someone crossed a Blazer with a Bel Air and somehow ended up with an Amphicar. Stranger things have been made to cars, but still.
Limo With Luggage Space
This pairing has to be more a work of art criticizing capitalism than something someone would want to do on purpose.
Animal Skull
Among the things you can do to your car, a hood ornament is rather tame. A huge skull of an animal is certainly among the more novel ones, even more striking when it’s the only modification on the vehicle.
Bone Collector
Speaking of skulls, here we have someone with quite an assortment of them. A few big, a few small, and there are even skull stickers in case the 3D skulls didn’t send enough of a message.
Too Much
A few of these modifications would have been enough. Tasteful even. Instead, this car owner decided to go for the full package, ending up with something no one would want to be seen riding in.
Fusion
Would this look as bad with a proper paint job? Unlikely, and then only the most savvy of car enthusiasts would be able to tell. But for now, we can all see where one car starts and the other ends.
Anime
This is less mod sin and more cringe, but it’s still worthy of inclusion. Seems like someone wants to share their anime fandom, and fortunately for us, we don’t know what that anime girl is from.
