A new report claims that both Chris Pratt and Walton Goggins are up for roles in the upcoming “G.I. Joe” reboot at Paramount Pictures.

Daniel Richtman (via CBM broke the story, saying both actors are being eyed to star, but the nature of the role or roles is unknown.

The talk follows in the wake of rumors that Bradley Cooper is up for a role in the film after Chris Hemsworth was claimed to have pulled out.

Danny McBride has penned the script for the feature and will direct the project, which aims to be in production before year’s end.

The scooper adds the film will have a “smaller scale” than previous entries and follows a “squad in a town invaded by Cobra.”

Three live-action “G.I. Joe” films have been made, starting in 2009, followed by a sequel in 2013 and then a character-centric spin-off “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” in 2021.

All were widely panned, though the second of the three did earn $376 million globally.
