Legendary actor Steve Buscemi has signed on to star in the FX series adaptation of the hit “Far Cry” video game franchise.

Buscemi joins the previously announced Lizzy Caplan in the project, but character and plot specifics are under wraps.

“Alien: Earth” and “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley is teaming with “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Welcome to Wrexham” star/producer Rob Mac on the series.

Like the games, the show will be an anthology with each season telling a different story in a different part of the world with a new cast of characters each time.

Hawley previously said the aim is to “create a big action show that can change from year to year, while always exploring the nature of humanity through this complex and chaotic lens” and have an “irreverent, ambitious” tone.

At release, “Far Cry” will stream on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in other parts of the world.
