There’s been a number of shake-ups on the film release schedule in the past day or so.
First up, Guy Ritchie’s “Wife and Dog” has been delayed from October to February 19th 2027. Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins star in the film, which has yet to release any material. Ritchie is coming off the Cavill & Gyllenhaal-led “In the Grey,” which was released in May and flopped hard – earning just $5.7 million in the United States.
Amazon MGM Studios has pushed back David Leitch’s “How to Rob A Bank” by two months, shifting it to a November 13th opening. Nicholas Hoult stars as the lead of a group of bank robbers. John C. Reilly, Zoe Kravitz, Pete Davidson and Anna Sawai co-star.
Paramount Pictures has set an October 13th 2028 release for “Predator: Badlands” helmer Dan Trachtenberg’s new animated feature “Freddy the 13th”. That follows a family vacation that takes a bad turn when lovable Uncle Freddy accidentally kills the Boogeyman and adopts his powers.
Inaugural Entertainment has set writer-director Guy Moshe’s “The Fix” for release on September 11th. Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi star as a group of former CIA operators who hope to pull off a daring rescue in the Iranian capital to redeem themselves after a failed Afghanistan mission.
A24 has locked in a December 11th release date for Jesse Eisenberg’s community theater-themed “The Debut” starring Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti.
Finally, all five films in “The Hunger Games” franchise will return for one-night-only screenings running from September 3rd-7th.
