Peter Dinklage has been attached to star in “The Furious” director Kenji Tanigaki’s next action feature “The Reckoner” at Lionsgate and AGBO.
“John Wick” scribe Derek Kolstad is penning the film, but plot details are under wraps and no word on any of the characters.
Kolstad and Dinklage are also set to produce alongside Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco and Kassee Whiting and David Ginsberg.
AGBO Films duo and “Avengers” filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo will executive produce. Russo-Otstot, AGBO’s chief creative officer, says:
“Derek Kolstad and Peter Dinklage came to us with a world we hadn’t encountered before, original, action-packed and with genuine soul. The moment we saw what Kenji Tanigaki did with The Furious, his take on action so unique and engaging we knew immediately he was the only director who could take this vision and bring it to life.”
“The Furious” follows a man who sets out to find his daughter after she is kidnapped by a criminal network. The film was a critical success and grossed over $6 million at the domestic box office and over $31 million globally.
Lionsgate and AGBO also team-up on the upcoming John Rambo prequel film.
