A new report has hit the internet that has changed everything people thought they knew about The Batman: Part II. Maybe it was assumed, then just confirmed through repetition, that Sebastian Stan would play Harvey Dent / Two-Face.
He was to be joined by Charles Dance as his father, Christopher Dent, and Scarlett Johansson as his wife, Gilda.
Now, according to The Insneider , this could all be wrong. For a start, their report claims that Stan will instead play Zsasz.
Victor Zsasz is a psychotic serial killer and rapist, who is also a sadomasochist. He carves a tally mark on himself for each victim. The report also claims that Brian Tyree Henry is Harvey Dent. Reeves has never confirmed who is playing who out of the announced cast.
Zsasz has been portrayed several times on screen across film, TV and games, including a brief appearance in Batman Begins and Anthony Carrigan’s version in FOX’s Gotham. Stan had been working with the hair and makeup teams ahead of time who had “devised how his disfigurement would look”, which may have led many to jump straight to Two-Face.
If this report is true, then all of the casting surrounding Harvey Dent is also in doubt.
Filming on the project is starting up at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, just north of London. There will also be more location shooting in Liverpool.
Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Koch, Jayme Lawson, and Gil Perez-Abraham all appear in The Batman: Part II, which opens in October 2027.
