Paramount+ has announced a Thursday, February 8th premiere date for the second season of its TV series adaptation of the Xbox game franchise “HALO”.
In addition, the teaser trailer for the new run was released below following its screening at CCXP in São Paolo, Brazil. Cast members Pablo Schreiber and Joseph Morgan, along with showrunner David Wiener and executive producer Kiki Wolfkill were in attendance.
In the new season Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant in the 26th-century.
As humanity’s best hope for winning the war and with the Covenant preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo.
Also back are Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Fiona O’Shaughnessy as Laera, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy and Danny Sapani.
Joseph Morgan joins as James Ackerson, a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence.
Cristina Rodlo joins as Talia Perez, a corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.
