“Choose Your Own Adventure” Film Set

20th Century Studios is reportedly developing a film adaptation of the long-running interactive book series “Choose Your Own Adventure”.

The “Ready or Not” and “Scream VI” team of Radio Silence, namely Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, are on board to direct and produce.

The books in the series offer branching narratives – replayable and user-directed stories in which readers are the hero and decide how the story ends, with multiple directions the story can take depending upon certain choices.

The interactive storytelling series sold more than 250 million copies worldwide in its original run, with hundreds of different books published by multiple authors.

Tom Bissell (“Andor,” “The Disaster Artist”) pens the script for the film that will be the first major film based on the books for the screen.

The team are next set to tackle the fourth film in “The Mummy” franchise at Universal Pictures.
