
Russel Crowe will return to the historical epic genre, and once again take on the might of the Roman Empire. This time, he won’t be a gladiator. He will be a Celt, in The Last Druid.
When a Roman Emperor discovers a secluded Druid stronghold in the mountains of Caledonia, a peaceful Celtic elder (Crowe) must take up arms to protect his family and people from annihilation.
Now, a report in Deadline confirms that more have joined the cast. Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Andreas Pietschmann (Nuremberg), and Daniel Zovatto (Don’t Breathe) will Crowe for director William Eubank (Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin).

Eubank wrote the script alongside Phil Gawthorne (Modern Life is Rubbish) and Carlyle Eubank (Muzzle), any relation?
The Last Druid will be lensed by cinematographer Agustin Claramunt (Land of Bad), and also on the crew are production designer Laia Colet (Bird Box: Barcelona), costume designer Alberto Valcárcel (The Embassy), and VFX supervisor Pau Costa (Den of Thieves: Pantera).
Adrián Guerra, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, and Ben Pugh produce.
The Last Druid shoots from June 8th in Barcelona and the Canary Islands.
