In the UK, it’s a Bank Holiday week, which means 3 days of movie watching, 3 days! It’s also May the Fourth on Monday, so I will be watching Star Wars, the OT. What are you watching this weekend?
As always, we have some suggestions for you, here you go.
The Iron Giant – Movie – Still a brilliant animation, and it still makes me cry at the end.
The Long Good Friday – Movie – Spoiler, there’s a gender swap in this.
Benny & Joon – Movie – Quirky little comedy, with Johnny Depp.
We Bury the Dead – Movie – Zombie movie, but a modern one, with feelings, it was bad.
The Housemaid – Movie – Half decent thriller with Sydney Sweeney, read our review.
2001 – Movie – I was feeling a little pretentious, but it’s still a great movie.
Thunderbolt & Lightfoot – Movie – A great 70s movie.
Extras – TV Series – With Ricky Gervais, still pretty funny.
Nightcrawler – Movie – Really good thriller with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Marty Supreme – Movie – The ping pong movie, and basically Hidden Gems with balls.
The Taking of Pelham 123 – Movie – The remake by Tony Scott, and a solid movie.
Small Prophets – TV Series – The new series by MacCenzie Crook, and I binged the whole thing, really well written.
Return to Silent Hill – Movie – The newest movie, and not as bad as I was led to believe; however, it wasn’t that good either.
The Spin – Movie – Indie movie, and rather enjoyable, see our review.
The Singers – Movie – One of the shorts nominated for an Oscar this year, and enjoyable.
The Social Network – Movie – Mark Zuckerberg is a truly terrible human being.
50 First Dates – Movie – It was on TV, and still mildly amusing.
There you go, that’s your weekend sorted out. What are you going watch?
