House Of The Dragon has divided some fans. It’s initially been slower paced than the original series, with more time taken to move the pieces into place. This has frustrated some. Others appreciate the manoeuvres.

Now that it moves into the second half of the planned four season adaptation, those who want more action are likely to be satisfied, as the Westeros Civil War, otherwise known as the Dance Of Dragons, is due to really kick off.

After the conclusion to the last season left the board set, and a palpable sense of coming, unavoidable conflict hanging in the air, season 3 is expected to kick off with quite a show.

Specifically, the Battle of the Gullet. Naval, ground and aerial (via dragon) warfare all in one, as Rhaenyra Targaryen moves to seize King’s Landing, and Aemond Targaryen faces some consequences.

Now, HBO has premiered the teaser trailer for this third season.

House Of The Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, telling a story 200 years before Game of Thrones.

This season the cast includes Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, James Norton, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, Abubakar Salim, Tom Cullen, Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane.
