Netflix has announced a July 1st release date for the third film in the “Enola Holmes” franchise starring Millie Bobby Brown.

Returning cast includes Millie Bobby Brown as Enola, Henry Cavill as her brother Sherlock Holmes, Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Helena Boham-Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.

In the new entry, Enola is engaged to be married to Tewkesbury as she heads to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.

Talking with People, it’s revealed Enola and Tewkesbury go through a bit of a rough patch, while Brown says all the characters have grown since the last outing:

“I think what’s really exciting about this one is how much Enola has grown. She’s still got that same fire and curiosity, but she’s a bit more confident in who she is and what she stands for. The stakes feel bigger, not just in terms of the mystery, but emotionally too. And of course, fans of Enola and Tewkesbury… there’s definitely more to explore there. Their relationship feels more mature, a bit deeper, and real. I think audiences are really going to feel like they’ve grown up with Enola, which is such a special thing.”

Along with Brown reprising her role as the now-grown-up sister of Henry Cavill’s Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty all return as well.

Philip Barantini (w”Adolescence”) handles directing duties this time with a script by Jack Thorne from Nancy Springer’s series of mystery novels.
