Previously, “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane indicated that a third season of “Ted” on Peacock seemed unlikely due to the show’s high production costs.

The first season was a hit, warranting a second one. Initially, it seemed that follow-up wasn’t doing big numbers for the streamer.

Now, Deadline reports something interesting is happening – the show has been maintaining a steady audience for much of the past two months.

They report that the second season has generated 1.2 billion minutes viewed since its March launch per Nielsen data. That makes it the top original comedy title across all streamers during that timeframe.

The title continues to perform particularly well among young men and has become the most-watched scripted Peacock original series with men 18-34 since 2022.

The news comes as Peacock has also decided not to move forward on its proposed “Clueless” sequel series, which would see Alicia Silverstone reprise the role of Cher Horowitz. CBS Studios and Paramount remain high on the project and will take it out to buyers.
