Indie distributor Angel Studios held its CinemaCon presentation earlier today and have now posted a number of trailers online in the wake of that presentation.

The most high-profile is “Runner,” an action thriller from Scott Waugh (“Act of Valor”) and starring Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson. That film opens September 11th and seems to be going for a wide appeal play.

The story follows a high-end courier who has three hours to transport an organ to save a seven-year-old girl in need of an immediate transplant. The seemingly simple mission turns deadly when the leader of a notorious crime syndicate becomes hell-bent on claiming the organ.

Also released were trailers for the Cold War drama “The Brink of War” starring Jeff Daniels, Jared Harris, and J.K. Simmons with that title hitting August 14th. Another trailer is for a reimagining of the John Wayne western “Angel and the Badman” with this version starring Tommy Lee Jones and Zachary Levi and opening in October.

Finally, there’s the trailer for the young George Washington film “Young Washington” starring William Franklyn-Miller, Mary-Louise Parker, Kelsey Grammer, Andy Serkis and Ben Kingsley. That opens July 3rd.

Other titles teased in the room included “Hershey” with Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario and the American Revolutionary War-set Christmas musical “Drummer Boy”.
