“Hunger Games” Promo Teases ‘Reaping’

Lionsgate has released a new 15-minute promo for its “The Hunger Games” franchise.

The recap covers the previous five films and, in the last 30 seconds, offers a brief sneak peek at this November’s “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping”.

The brief clip features ‘before & after’ shots of the characters from the original four-film saga, and then the 25-year younger versions that will appear in ‘Reaping’.

These include glimpses of Elle Fanning as Effie, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickman, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee Latier, Lili Taylor as Mags Flanagan, Ralph Fiennes as President Snow and Joseph Zada as Haymitch Abernathy.

The new film will be set around the 50th Hunger Games, the Second Quarter Quell, with Francis Lawrence directing. The Billy Ray-penned prequel, based on Suzanne Collins’ book, also stars Glenn Close, Billy Porter, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace and Ben Wang among others.

“The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” opens in cinemas and on IMAX on November 20th.
