Multiple Emmy winner Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) has joined the cast of Noah Hawley’s “Alien: Earth” series for its second season. Specifics of his role in the new season are under wraps.

The show’s first season ended on a cliffhanger with several surviving characters all in one room and hybrid Wendy (Sydney Chandler) saying ‘Now we rule’.

The second season is expected to begin almost immediately after, Hawley indicating that there are plans to essentially continue in the minutes afterwards as Yutani’s troops arrive and “these children have no idea what’s coming”.

Filming on the new season kicks off next month in London at Pinewood Studios. It’s still presently unclear what actors from the first season are returning.

Timothy Olyphant, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Alex LAwther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, and Adrian Edmondson were among the core actors on the first season.

The show debuted to strong reviews from critics and audiences, but proved divisive as the show unfolded. Dinklage recently had roles on FX’s “The Lowdown” and Showtime’s “Dexter: Resurrection”.
