Task
Two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali will join returning lead Mark Ruffalo in the second season of Brad Ingelsby’s crime drama “Task” at HBO. Ruffalo is the only confirmed returnee at this time.

Ali will play Eddie Barnes, a well-respected DEA agent in Philadelphia whose team comes into conflict with Ruffalo’s Tom Brandis who is head of a new task force. Ingelsby will return as showrunner. [Source: THR]

CIA
CBS has renewed Dick Wolf’s “CIA” series for a second season. Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss lead the series which saw its season premiere watched by 8.4 million multiplatform viewers within its first seven days. CBS has also reportedly seen a 39% increase in time period viewership from last fall through the show’s first three episodes. [Source: TV Line]

Hacks
HBO Max has announced an April 9th premiere date for the fifth and final season of “Hacks.” The ten-episode last go of the show will run through until the finale on May 28th.

In the aftermath of mistaken and unflattering news reports that she passed away, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian.”

Dutton Ranch
Paramount+ and Paramount Network have locked in a May 15th premiere date for “Dutton Ranch,” the “Yellowstone” spin-off following Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler in the wake of the main series. A teaser trailer has also been released for the show on which Chad Feehan serves as showrunner.

As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together in South Texas – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Jai Courtney, Juan Pablo Raba, Natalie Alyn Lind and Finn Little also star.
