“Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham has let slip that the fourth season of Apple’s beloved soccer comedy “Ted Lasso” is expected to premiere in August.
Waddingham revealed the update while speaking with Deadline on the red carpet at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, saying: “August, I think. Am I allowed to say August? What if I’m wrong? I think it’s August.”
Talking about the new run, she says: “It’s a whole different deal with our Lady Greyhounds. I can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve come up with.”
The new run sees Ted (Sudeikis) returning to Richmond to coach a second division women’s football team. Sudeikis has reportedly another three-season arc planned for the new story, but so far only a fourth season has been set.
Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Annette Badland, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift will all return, while new to the season are Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely
Sudeikis, Hunt, Goldstein, Jack Burditt, Leanne Bowen, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, Bill Wrubel and Bill Lawrence executive produce.
