Nicolas Cage steps into his first leading television role with Spider-Noir, a stylized superhero drama set in 1930s New York. Cage plays Ben Reilly, a worn-down private investigator forced to confront his former identity as the city’s only masked hero. Once a symbol of justice, Reilly now navigates a city steeped in crime, corruption, and regret.

The newly released trailer presents Cage as both a weary gumshoe and a black-clad vigilante swinging between buildings, leaping across speeding cars, and trading blows in smoke-filled bars. The footage closes with a sharp tagline: “With No Power Comes No Responsibility.” The tone leans heavily into classic noir, blending trench coats, shadowed alleyways, and moral conflict with comic-book action.

Prime Video confirmed a May 27 premiere date, with all episodes dropping at once. The series will offer two viewing formats: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” giving audiences a choice between a vintage monochrome aesthetic and a stylized color presentation inspired by the muted look of the original comics.

The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Spider-Noir positions Cage at the center of a moody, genre-blending experiment that merges pulp detective storytelling with superhero mythology.
