
Red, White & Royal Wedding
Uma Thurman will return as the U.S. President Ellen Claremont and Stephen Fry as King James III in the “Red, White & Royal Blue” follow-up “Red, White & Royal Wedding” currently in production at Amazon Prime. Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine once again lead the cast as First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz and Prince Henry respectively.
Confirmed returning today are Clifton Collins Jr. as Congressman Oscar Diaz, Sarah Shahi as Deputy Chief of Staff Zahra Bankston, Rachel Hilson as Nora Holleran, Ellie Bamber as Princess Beatrice, Thomas Flynn as Prince Phillip, Aneesh Sheth as Secret Service agent Amy and Malcolm Atobrah as Percy Okonjo. Custom of the Country
Sydney Sweeney (“The Housemaid”) is set to star in and produce the film adaptation of Edith Wharton’s novel “Custom of the Country” at Studio Canal. Sweeney plays Undine Spragg, an ambitious Midwest woman who attempts to ascend the social ladder in the turn of the century New York. The Big Fix
Mark Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed are set to star in the Baltasar Kormákur-direcred thriller “The Big Fix” at Netflix and Chernin Entertainment. Guy Bolton and Justin Haythe are penning the script and filming begins later this year.
The story follows a former Interpol cop in a bureaucratic role at FIFA who uncovers an international match-fixing scandal and launches a high-stakes mission to stop whoever is behind it. Bambo
Actress Natasha Lyonne will make her feature film directing debut with “Bambo,” a story set in the world of boxing during the 1980s. Joey King is in talks to play the female lead while “The Last of Us” showrunner Craig Mazin will produce.
The story follows a Brooklyn-born boxing-promoter father as he tries and fails to become the next Don King and takes his kid daughter along for the hurly burly ride of tax evasion, cocaine, race cars, lost dreams, and heartbreak. [Source: Deadline]
Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell (“Good Burger 2”) are set to produce and star in the horror comedy film “Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein” which will shoot this Summer.
The story follows two delivery drivers who find themselves in peril when they pull up at a weird and creepy castle and awaken a monster. The night quickly goes from being a normal one to a fight to save their lives. [Source: Yahoo]
