Yet another “Evil Dead” film is on its way, the seventh overall in the franchise following Sam Raimi’s original trilogy, the 2013 remake, 2023’s “Evil Dead Rise” and this year’s “Evil Dead Burn”.
The film will hail from director Francis Galluppi (“The Last Stop in Yuma County”) and is currently untitled. Plot details are also under wraps but Galluppi will direct from his own script.
The cast is led by British actress Charlotte Hope (“The Nun,” “Catch Me a Killer”) and American actor Zach Gilford (“Midnight Mass,” “Friday Night Lights”).
They’re joined by a bunch of Aussies including Jessica McNamee (“Mortal Kombat,” “The Meg”), Josh Helman (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Thirteen Lives”), Ella Newton (“Dangerous Animals,” “Harrow”), Elizabeth Cullen (“Goolagong,” “Last King of the Cross”), and newcomer Ella Oliphant.
New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures will co-finance the project with Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi producing and Bruce Campbell executive producing. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute domestically and Sony internationally.
Sébastien Vaniček helms “Evil Dead Burn” which was shot last year in New Zealand and opens on July 24th.
