The Audacity
“Succession” writer Jonathan Glatzer’s new Silicon Valley drama “The Audacity” has set an April 12th premiere date on AMC. The eight-episode series stars Billy Magnussen, Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Paul Adelstein and Simon Helberg. The darkly comedic drama centers on a data-mining CEO who “attempts to transform insight and influence into profit and power”. [Source: AMC TV]

The Lowdown
FX has announced it has officially renewed Sterlin Harjo’s acclaimed Ethan Hawke-led drama “The Lowdown” for a second season. Filming begins this Spring in Tulsa. No word on whether first season co-stars like Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, Tracy Letts and Peter Dinklage will be back.

Hawke stars in the series as citizen journalist and self-proclaimed ‘truthstorian’ Lee Raybon whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble. The first season saw him investigating a powerful family after an exposé he published was immediately followed by the suspicious suicide of one of the family. [Source: Deadline]

Scooby-Doo Gokko
“Scooby-Doo! Gokko,” a new “Scooby Doo” series with an kawaii/chibi-inspired anime aesthetic, is reportedly targeting a 2027 release. The anime series will focus on Scooby and Shaggy and follow in the footsteps of animated shorts series “Tom & Jerry Gokko”. [Source: TV Laint]

Hijack
Out promoting the second season of his thriller series “Hijack,” actor Sir Idris Elba says he’s got one more idea for a story involving his character Sam Nelson from the series, but it might not be in a third season: “There is definitely a sense that we like the Sam Nelson character and there is one more iteration of his story that I can think of – for sure. The Upshaws
Netflix has released the official trailer for the seventh and final season of comedy series “The Upshaws” starring Mike Epps, Kim Fields and Wanda Sykes. Epps stars in the show as a mechanic and the head of a Black working-class family in Indianapolis. The final run premieres on January 15th.
