We haven’t seen a good spoof in a long time, and I have seen the Naked Gun reboot and stand by what I say. Out of the blue comes Fackham Hall, and here is a trailer.

That looks, well, funny, something we’re not all that used to these days. There are, in fact, two trailers, that’s the nice one, if you want to see the Redband version, it’s HERE, but there isn’t much difference to be honest.

Fackham Hall stars Ben Radcliffe, Thomasin McKenzie, Tom Felton, Damian Lewis, Tom Goodman-Hill, Katherine Waterston, Sue Johnson, Lily Knight and Jimmy Carr. Jim O’Hanlon directs with Andrew and Steve Dawson, Jimmy and Patrick Carr, and Tim Inman writing.

Jimmy Carr writing is interesting; he’s a stand-up comic and presenter here in the UK. He’s got an annoying laugh, but he is funny, and his jokes upset some people. Not someone like me, though, I don’t mind his humour.

The good news about Carr writing Fackham Hall is that his humour is offensive. Take THIS JOKE for example, be warned, it’s NSFW. Might it be that Fackham Hall will go back to the days of offending jokes that normal people can laugh at?

The story is:

A new porter forms an odd bond with the youngest daughter of a well-known UK family. As the Davenport family, headed by Lord and Lady Davenport, deals with the epic disaster of the wedding of their eldest daughter to her caddish cousin.

It’s been described as Downton Abbey meets Naked Gun (the good one).

Fackham Hall will be in US cinemas on the 5th of Dec, and UK cinemas on the 12th of Dec.
