Yesterday, Disney released a new trailer for TRON: Ares. This comes just one month out from the big screen release. It is mostly a re-cut of previous trailers, but it does feature some new footage and plot reveals.
It is framed around Flynn and starts with his journey into the grid, including footage from TRON and TRON: Legacy.
TRON: Ares picks up a thread from TRON: Legacy, and features an AI programme called Ares (Jared Leto), who is mankind’s first encounter with an AI being. He is sent on a dangerous mission into the real world, but what is that mission? And is it dangerous to mankind?
Ares co-stars Gillian Anderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Cameron Monaghan, and the returning Jeff Bridges.
Nine Inch Nails is composed the score for this movie, taking over from Daft Punk, who scored Legacy. Director Joachim Rønning (Kon-Tiki, Young Woman and the Sea) shot from a script co-written by Jesse Wigutow (Daredevil: Born Again) and Jack Thorne (Adolescence).
TRON: Ares is set for cinemas on October 10th.
