It’s another start to the week, another Monday. Remember, we don’t cry at work; we cry in the toilet, where it sounds really creepy.
With the weekend now a distant memory, did you see anything good? Is there anything you need to moan about this Monday?
Because of the article we had about the remake of Magic, I ended up watching Dead of Night again. I haven’t seen it in many years, and it’s still a very creepy movie. I annoyingly spoiled the ending in the article, but that last scene, with the dummy, still gives me chills. It was like being locked in a room with a Monday, slow creeping towards you!
I also gave The Paper, the new spin-off of The Office, a chance. Hollywood keeps trying to ruin everything I love. I love The US Office, it’s comedy gold in places.
Sure, it tails off a bit toward the last few seasons, but there is some comedy gold in there. The new series, The Paper, is as funny as Monday morning, where you get to work and are called straight into HR. I gave it two episodes and turned it off.
What really annoyed me about the series is that I think Domhnall Gleeson and Tim Key deserve a lot better! They are both way too good for this, but I guess a pay cheque is a pay cheque.
