Orion and the Dark
Netflix has premiered a new photo from the animated fantasy movie “Orion and the Dark” starring Jacob Tremblay and Paul Walter Hauser. The film, penned by the legendary Charlie Kaufman and directed by Sean Charmatz (“Trolls World Tour”) will premiere in 2024.
The story follows an average elementary school kid consumed by irrational fears, the biggest of which is a fear of the dark. The literal embodiment of the Dark pays a visit and whisks Orion away on a roller coaster ride around the world to prove there is nothing to be afraid of in the night. [Source: Netflix]
Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2
Sony Pictures has confirmed that the first trailer for the “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” sequel will arrive online tomorrow – Wednesday, November 8th. Currently under the working title “Firehouse,” the film sees Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, and McKenna Grace return from the previous outing. [Source: Sony Pictures]
PlayStation
Sony PlayStation is dropped integration with X (formerly known as Twitter) from both PS4 and PS5 consoles as of November 13th. From that date forward, gone will be the ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4 and the ability to post and view content, trophies and other gameplay-related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4. Microsoft cut off the ability to share content to X from Xbox back in April. [Source: Variety]
The Circus
Showtime docuseries “The Circus” is ending its run after eight seasons and 130 episodes. Mark McKinnon, John Heilemann and Jennifer Palmieri hosted the series which will have its final episode on Sunday on Paramount+ with Showtime.
Showtime opted not to renew the series amid changes at the premium network. The show’s hosts haven’t closed off the possibility of continuing on another platform. [Source: Deadline]
