Netflix has released the trailer for its new animated feature “The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep” which will release on the service on February 11th.
In the film, the mutated monster hunter Geralt of Rivia is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village.
He finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople and must count on friends — old and new — to solve the mystery before the hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.
Doug Cockle, who voiced the character in the video game series, takes on the lead voice role here while live-action “Witcher” series actors Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra also star in their respective roles of Jaskier and Yennefer of Vengerberg.
The new film is directed by Kang Hei Chul from a screenplay written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin and based on the fantasy novel series written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.
