Following success porting some of their franchises over to other consoles like “Sea of Thieves” and “Hi-Fi Rush,” Microsoft is reportedly planning to bring more games over to PlayStation 5 and even Nintendo’s next Switch platform this year.

A new report from Windows Central claims that Ninja Theory’s “Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga,” strategy title “Age of Mythology: Retold,” and ‘potentially’ “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” are all slated for release on PS5 this year.

Meanwhile scooper NateTheHate is claiming that both “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024” and “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” will make their way to the PS5 and Switch 2.

They join the already confirmed “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” making the jump to PS5 this Spring, while both “DOOM: The Dark Ages” and “The Outer Worlds 2” are already confirmed to be multiplatform and coming to both Xbox and PS5.

The flow of games isn’t one-sided though with rumors that several “Final Fantasy” titles will be making their way to Xbox.

Even so, Microsoft’s Xbox label has often been defined by its three biggest franchises – Halo, Gears of War and Forza. Even one of those being made available on rival platforms is symbolic in and of itself.

Xbox chief Phil Spencer revealed late last year that there will be no ‘red lines’ regarding games it could potentially bring to other platforms with Microsoft aiming to make gaming more accessible than ever before.
