Paramount+ has renewed the Jeremy Renner-led and Taylor Sheridan co-created crime drama “Mayor of Kingstown” for a fourth season.
The series ranked as the No. 1 series on the Paramount+ platform during its season three run and the most recent season, launched back in June, marked Renner’s return to work just over a year since after sustaining life-threatening injuries from a snowcat accident.
The series follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.
Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.
The series also stars Taylor Handley as Kyle McLusky, Hugh Dillon as Ian, Emma Laird as Iris, Aidan Gillen as Milo Sunter, Derek Webster as Stevie, Hamish Allan-Headley as Robert, and Nishi Munshi as Tracy.
MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions are backing the project.
