By Amazon Prime Video has debuted the first trailer for the third season of Robert Kirkman’s acclaimed superhero series “Invincible,” the clip posted during a panel at CCXP Brazil.
In the new season, Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) is still recovering from his fight with Angstrom and faces the impending threat of the Viltrumites. He tests the limits of his growing strength under the supervision of the Global Defense Agency’s Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins).
Tension between the pair grows, leading to a betrayal. Mark’s purple half-brother Oliver decides to become a hero named Kid-Omni-Man, Battle Beast and the Mauler Twins return and Mark takes on some robotic drones.
Also, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) mees Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) in captivity with the latter trying to get then to team-up. Mark will also don the famous black and blue costume from the comics, signaling a more serious tone for the neew season.
Sandra Oh, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Chris Diamantopoulos, Sterling K. Brown, Rob Delaney, Calista Flockhart, Phil LaMarr, Luke MacFarlane, Tatiana Maslany, Scott McNairy, Jay Pharoah, Ella Purnell, Tim Robinson, Ben Schwartz, Rhea Seehorn, Lea Thompson, Paul F. Tompkins, Shantel VanSanten, and Peter Cullen all lend their voices to the series.
The third season of “Invincible” will begin streaming on Amazon Prime on February 6th with a three-episode premiere followed by five more weekly episodes – no breaks – through March 13th.
