Paramount+ has released the full-length trailer for “Star Trek: Section 31,” an original movie that sees Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh reprising her Emperor Philippa Georgiou role.

Here the former mirror universe tyrant is pulled back in to Starfleet, taking charge of a team at Section 31 – their secret black ops division. The film will also show young Georgiou (Miku Martineau), and how she rose to power in the mirror universe.

At her new gig at Section 31, she’s now tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets from a new threat on a massive scale – at the same time facing the sins of her past.

Also starring are Omari Hardwick (“Power”), Kacey Rahl (“Hannibal”), Sam Richardson (“Ted Lasso”), Sven Ruygrok (“One Piece”), Robert Kazinsky (“Pacific Rim”), Humberly Gonzalez (“Ginny & Georgia”) and James Hiroyuki Liao (“Barry”).

The film has been penned by Craig Sweeny and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, and is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Craig Sweeny, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Yeoh.

“Star Trek: Section 31” will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and in all international markets from January 24th.
